An Evening with Paula Douglass
Last Night Paula Douglass Invited me out to the beautiful city Hopewell, Missouri, at one of her residency venues called The Backwoods Convenience Bar and Grill. The place is whole carved, and custom by the owner Leslie Wood and I was utterly captivated by Alice and Wonderland display on the patio, the remarkable graffiti art underneath one their bridges crossing into the many acres that are hoped to one day be created into cabins and campgrounds.

As I was greeted by a bigfoot carving walking into this beautiful venue filled with a packed house to see the Singer, Songwriter Paula Douglas, and her band. From 8 PM - 12 AM, I was completely in awe by the wide variety of music that was displayed. From R&B to Classic Rock, From Motown to Classic Country spare no expense, these kids today have nothing on the range that 64 Year Old Paula Douglass and her Bandmate Roger Allen can cover.

I requested a song that is familiar to everyone and is relevant to the series of events leading up to The Maximum Exposure Fashion Series: Controversy in STL called Dolly Parton's Jolene. Nobody can tell the story of Jolene better than Paula and Roger's band. When Paula auditioned for my show, she presented her resume to me and let me say she is a legend in her own right. Paula will be walking for Tenelle Appeal Fashion, and her music will be displayed in the visuals of my Fashion Show on July 26, 2020, on House of Chuck Magazine. I have documented over 400 events last night's show was by for one of the greatest shows I have ever recorded.
Paula Douglass introduced me to her family, where the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to music and talent and also informed the entire town I was coming and was kind enough to dedicate a song to me. When creating an art project such as this, I always go right to the source of all the wisdom, the unheard voices, the ones who have experienced the uprising in the LGBTQ community from then until now. I want to thank Paula Douglass for being such a trailblazer for the Transgender Community. I had never had more fun in my life, and thank you for allowing me to add you to a list of the many thousands of entertainers I have collaborated with in this brilliant career I call House of Chuck Magazine.
