Controversy Over Lack Of Diversity

Untitled photo

For years, The House of Chuck Magazine has been well informed over the lack of diversity in the lineups in the local drag scene in St. Louis. With emotions high over the racism this past week it is no surprise to see an outcry. This morning well-known entertainer Maxi Glamour made a post calling out the lack of diversity using a few local entertainers and a local show as a prime example over the lack of diversity in the St. Louis LGBTQ community.

Although The House of Chuck Magazine does agree on the lack of diversity in the St. Louis LGBTQ community,  however, we do not believe that Jade Sinclair and Mariah Candy are racists. This is a very sensitive time and it is quite common to throw stones at our leaders in times of crisis. When House of Chuck Magazine read all of the public statements this morning, we see that everyone is one the same page as far as the St. Louis LGBTQ community becoming more united on both the stage and the community as a whole.

Closing Arguments

As someone who has worked in the community for many years, I am excited to see that our community leaders are willing to sit down and talk about what we can do to make this a better community. These days humans take to social media before they take the meeting and that is really an unfair way of trying to solve a problem that needs to be solved. The House of Chuck Magazine is taking a survey on what we can do to make the St. Louis LGBTQ Community more united.
