Dee Dee Billingsley, The Women Who Saved STL Fashion Post Pandemic. Starting in 2023, we honor Dee Dee Billingsley with our humanitarian award. I will never forget the first time I saw Billingsley at her first show, and she was giving Queen Esther's Artistry an award for her unique talents. I was going to have Billingsley sit down for an interview and talk about all of her Fashion adventures, but instead, I needed to attend her show a few weeks ago, and I got all the answers I needed to write my story.
Billingsley talked on the microphone in front of her daughters and took in all her hard work so others could network. Everyone deserves a decent start in the Fashion industry, and we thank you so much for everything you do. You spent the past five years awarding others; it's time we honored you. This humanitarian award was only given to two other hard-working, strong women such as yourself, and it is the only award I preside over.
What Will Billingsley Do Next?
Billingsley has created twenty Fashion shows in five years, all intending to bring people together in support of Fashion. I rarely bring my daughter to the events I am involved in, but in 2018, I brought my daughter to one of Billingsley's shows. She asked me, Dad, why is that woman running around like that? I was like, because she is the Queen of this Runway, my dear. One day, when I retire, she will understand your frustration, Dee Dee. Billingsley is on our top ten fashion influencers list that is emailed to all of our team at the end of every show.
It does not matter what you do; next, you have created what many call a legacy. Finally, we have the best job in the world, influencing young talents. Imagine bringing together vendors, designers, photographers, hair, MUA, models, and sold-out shows twenty times. On top of this, she is honoring others for their contributions to the world of cosmetology and Fashion. If you ever get a chance to catch another chapter of Beauty Meets Fashion, you will never be the pleasure of more greater company.
